YEREVAN. – Area of the 2 residential buildings neighboring Armenia’s Zvartnots International Airport will be allocated to Armenia International Airports Company in order to establish a free economic zone. During its session on Thursday, the Armenian government also made changes in its decision adopted in 2007, thereby allocating 0.77 hectares, instead of 0.47, to the Airport’s concessionaire.
“To build a free economic zone at the Airport, it is necessary to remove 2 residential buildings from there, and we are allocating to the concessionaire an area to construct new apartments and to transfer the residents there,” Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan stated during the governmental session.
