Armenia’s gas supply to halt temporarily

YEREVAN. – The natural gas supply to Armenia will temporarily halt as of 11 a.m. on Thursday, the Gas Transport Company of Georgia informed ArmRusGazprom gas company.
Linked to renovations at Georgian capital Tbilisi’s bypass motorway, the Georgian company is planning on connecting a new section of the main gas pipeline.
In addition, the pipeline’s landslide-affected portion will be restored and the gas leakage will be eliminated.
The Georgian side will inform when these activities are completed.
During this time the Armenian consumers’ natural gas will be supplied on the account of backup reserves, and with no limitations.
