Cavusoglu makes show out of Karabakh sub-committee – Armenian delegate

YEREVAN.- Head of PACE Mevlut Cavusoglu staged a “performance” while discussing the issues related to sub-committee on Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenia’s delegate at PACE Naira Zohrabyan toldArmenian News-NEWS.am.
“The scenario was as follows: some European parliamentarians are seriously concerned over problem of frozen conflicts in the region and demand that PACE should intensify its activities in resolving frozen conflicts,” said Zohrabyan who participated in the meeting of PACE Political Affairs committee held in the Italian city of Caserta.
Armenian MP said it is clear that those concerned were pressed by Cavusoglu. Head of PACE was attentively listening to all complaints and then pointed at Armenian delegate Naira Zohrabyan stressing that she is accusing him of opening a new sub-committee.
“Mrs. Zohrabyan is accusing me unjustly, while European parliamentarians stress that the Armenian delegation’s steps are wrong,” said Cavusoglu.
In her turn Naira Zohrabyan asked to give her the floor, saying: “I will once again present the Armenian side’s position for you and those who are making a show out of this problem. Only OSCE Minsk Group has a mandate for resolution of the Karabakh conflict, while intervention of the sub-committee will directly impede the negotiation process. The Armenian delegation will never participate in work of the sub-committee. You can meet with the Azerbaijani delegation to discuss the problems.”
