Chief of Armenia’s road police to spend two months in jail
Headline, People, Daily news | ankakh | September 2, 2011 18:39YEREVAN.- Armenia’s court ruled a two-month arrest against chief of Armenia’s road police Margar Ohanyan.
Ohanyan was detained on August 30 under instruction of investigator of Special Investigation Service Tigran Tamamyan who is known to have close ties with Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan. Tamamyan is to deal with the most complicated cases.
The investigator submitted the request for the arrest to court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan administrative districts of Kentron and Nork-Marash.
Ohanyan is suspected of abuse of power and misappropriation.
