Employee of Yerevan City Hall detained for taking bribe
People, Daily news | ankakh | May 30, 2011 19:41YEREVAN. – An employee of Yerevan City Hall was arrested on Friday for taking bribe.
Policemen detained Karen Mikaelyan, expert from trade and service department, at the moment he got a $2500 bribe. He intended to legalize illegal building in one of Yerevan streets.
Spokesperson for Yerevan City Hall Shushan Sardaryan confirmed the information.
“City Hall condemns bribery. Those responsible will receive punishment according to the law,” spokesperson told NEWs.am
It is the second bribery case registered in Yerevan City Hall over 2011.
