The PACE report on Armenia will be presented at the autumn session, Head of the Armenian delegation to PACE David Harutyunyan told journalists Monday.

He is not at all surprised at the report.

“That was expected,” Harutyunyan said.

After talking to the PACE rappoteurs` on Armenia he realized that they are content with certain reforms in the country, whereas other reforms leave to be desired.

“But I can say that my assessments of the situation in Armenia are much more critical than the ones by the PACE rapporteurs. They are content with the rates of the reforms, whereas I think much has to be done in all the areas,” Harutyunyan said.

As regards the co-rapporteurs` opinion that the unsolved March 1 2008 crimes poison the atmosphere in Armenia, Harutyunyan said that the investigation into the March 1 case “must be continued and brought to completion.”

Naira Zohrabyan, Armenian delegation member to PACE of the Prosperous Armenia Party, said that the report does not contain any “news accents.”

“I think some political forces` attempts to find the implications they seek are vain,” she said.

The PACE monitoring group`s report on Armenia particularly says that the unsolved March 1 2008 crimes poison the atmosphere in Armenia. The co-rapporteurs are also discontent with legal rather than practical reforms in the country. Social polarization in Armenia is fraught with riots, the report says.
