On April 4, the Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian, being in Belgrade as a member of the delegation led by the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan who arrived in Serbia on an official visit, met with his Serbian counterpart Vuk Jeremić
Official, Daily news | ankakh | April 5, 2011 9:35Minister Nalbanidan noted that the visit of the President of the Republic of Serbia Boris Tadić to Armenia in 2009 and official visit of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to Serbia, as well as the agreements reached between two Presidents open a new page in the bilateral relations, and the readiness for further deepening and strengthening of thorough cooperation between Armenia and Serbia is a proof of it.
The Armenian Foreign Minister added that the regular meetings on a ministerial level provided an opportunity to follow the process of implementation of the agreements reached on a presidential level, as well as to exchange views on various issues.
In the course of the meeting, Edward Nalbandian and Vuk Jeremić had a thorough talk on a wide range of issues related to the further development of the Armenian-Serbian relations, particularly the steps undertaken towards the interaction in the international organizations, holding of consultations between the MFAs of the two countries, expansion of legal-contractual field, intensification of economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
The sides also discussed regional and international issues, particularly touched upon the recent developments over the existing issues in the Caucasus and Balkans.
